I can’t tell: Is the taped-up strand included to elicit a response from the guilty party, counting on the accused’s fondness for this medium of bathroom desecration to ensure the message reaches the right person, or is it actually a reply, a taunt? Or — maybe it’s a reminder, placed there for all the victims, meant to create solidarity via a traumatic flashback. Either way, brills.
